Understanding Your Admin Data with SQWAD

Whether you’re a seasoned SQWAD client or getting ready to launch your first activation, understanding your admin data can help you make strategic decisions around prizing and user engagement and ensure you meet your activation goals!

Today, we’ll walk through some SQWAD admin data basics and tips for getting the most out of your activation.

Note:

This article is based on SQWAD’s Shuffle activation. The game data collected may vary depending on your activation. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information.

What data can I collect?

The data points you can collect can be found under the “Fan Login” tab on the right-hand menu of your admin. SQWAD will always collect fan emails but you can customize the data you gather based on your sponsorship and activation goals.

TIP: Think carefully about what data you want to gather from your fans. The more you ask for, the fewer people will be willing to go through the whole logging-in process. Balance that with useful parameters that you can leverage to get more value from your activation.

Collecting fan “ZipCode” is valuable if you are running a campaign in multiple locations.

“Collect Birthday” allows you to both collect birthday information and set age restrictions to limit specific age groups from playing. We recommend using this feature if you have an age-sensitive campaign such as one that has alcohol-related prizes.

Where can I find my activation data?

You can access all of your activation data on your admin by clicking on the “Dashboard” tab on the left-hand menu.

What data is displayed on my admin?

Your Dashboard tab will show all of your current and past game data. At a glance you’ll see:

Accounts Created– The number of unique fans who have created accounts (scanned the QR code and entered their login credentials). It’s important to note that this DOES NOT guarantee that they have played the game. In other words, you can think of this as someone landing on a website but not necessarily buying a product.

Game Users- The number of fans who have gone through the entire game flow AKA have played your game. This number is not unique as the same fan can play a game multiple times depending on the length of your campaign.

Prizes Won- The number of prizes the system has given out to fans based on the conditions you selected when creating your game.

TIP: You can filter accounts created, game users, and prizes won by date. This can be done by selecting the date range you want and then clicking “Search”. Not only does this feature allow you to hone in on specific campaigns but it can also be useful when trying to understand fan engagement over time.

Additionally, the date range feature makes it easy to share data with partners who might only sponsor a select number of your SQWAD campaigns (fan appreciation nights, special promos, etc.)

How do I download my admin data?

You can download a CSV file of your accounts created, game users, and prizes won by selecting the desired date range and then clicking the white arrow next to “Accounts Created”.

TIP: To see game-specific data such as details on prizes won, redemption status, and additional fan login parameters, scroll down to the desired game and click “Download Game Data”.

Getting the most out of your data…

We encourage you to keep an eye on your data regularly throughout the life cycle of your SQWAD activation, particularly if you are testing new prizes or marketing campaigns. This will allow you to pivot quickly if engagement is low or double down on your strategy if it’s working well!

Lastly, don’t hesitate to reach out to your SQWAD Customer Success Manager if you have any data questions or are looking for ideas to improve the performance of your activation.
